Job Description

Position Overview:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customer Insights Analyst to join our team. This individual will own customer engagement surveys as well as competitive benchmarking in market.
  • The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving the success of our sales team by providing valuable insights and analysis on customer behavior, preferences, and trends.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Conduct a comprehensive analysis of customer data, sales metrics, and market trends to identify patterns, correlations, and insights relevant to the sales team.
  • Create and deliver regular reports, dashboards, and presentations that effectively communicate key findings, actionable recommendations, and performance metrics to various stakeholders.

Customer Segmentation and Profiling:

  • Develop and maintain customer segmentation models based on demographics, behavior, purchasing patterns, and other relevant variables.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to define customer profiles and personas, enabling targeted sales strategies and personalized customer experiences.

Sales Strategy Optimization:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify areas for improvement in sales processes, tactics, and strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Provide recommendations on sales targeting, lead generation, cross-selling/up-selling, and customer retention strategies to maximize revenue and customer lifetime value.

Competitive Analysis:

  • Monitor and analyze competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market trends to identify opportunities and threats within the industry.
  • Translate competitive intelligence into actionable insights for the sales team, enabling them to differentiate our products/services and drive sales growth.

Collaborative Partnerships:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to share insights and align strategies.
  • Provide support and guidance to the sales team by conducting training sessions on data interpretation, sales analytics tools, and customer insights.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience in data analysis, market research, or business analytics, preferably in a sales-focused role.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and statistical software (e.g., R, Python) is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex data sets and present them in a clear and concise manner.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of sales processes and strategies.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
